2017 ESD 112 Regional Classified School Employee of the Year

Mary Ann Sturdivan
Woodland Public Schools, Woodland High School

As Woodland High’s career program specialist, Mary Ann strives to bolster students’ skills and confidence in their own ability. Over the past four years, she has created an online form for local scholarships, built and maintained a service opportunities webpage to help students complete that graduation requirement,
and helped organize Woodland’s first career fair. She’s now working with the local port to organize a CTE fair. The results speak for themselves. Scholarship applications have increased steadily and now 100% of seniors complete the culminating project and service requirement. Never forgetting the necessities of life, Mary Ann also established a student pantry with food, clothes, and hygiene products for those in need and a special occasion dress drive.
