Students at Evergreen Public Schools’ Crestline Elementary School enjoyed participating in the Block Kids Building Competition sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) on Wednesday, January 25. The award-winning program introduces children to the construction industry in an effort to create awareness and promote careers in the industry. Students used interlocking blocks, string, rocks, foil, and poster board to build structures inspired by their imagination. NAWIC judges then selected three winning projects and presented the winners with an award certificate and a gift card.
