ESD 112 region districts receive awards for outstanding communication

Educational Service District 112 and several school districts in the region were recognized at an awards ceremony on April 28, 2016 for excellence in school communications. The awards were presented by the Washington School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) at its annual conference.

More than 253 entries in 13 categories were received by WSPRA from across the state. The awards recognize outstanding printed and digital publications, photographs, writing, social media, newsletters, websites, marketing and branding, and video programs. Winning entries are presented an Award of Excellence, Award of Merit or an Honorable Mention. “Best in Category,” selected from all winning entries, is also awarded.

ESD 112 received 15 awards for work done on behalf of districts in the region and across Washington and Oregon in the following categories:

  • Electronic Newsletter (Longview School District — Best in Category)
  • Excellence in Writing (Camas School District and Longview Public Schools — Best in Category)
  • Finance Publication (Cosmopolis School District — Best in Category)
  • Marketing/Branding (Camas Educational Foundation — Best in Category)
  • Marketing/Branding (South Bend School District — Best in Category)
  • Marketing/Branding (White River School District — Best in Category, Willamette Educational Service District)
  • Marketing/Branding (Willamette Educational Service District)
  • Photography (White River School District, Willamette Educational Service District)
  • Special Purpose publications (Battle Ground Public Schools)
  • Website (Chehalis School District)

Battle Ground Public Schools received five awards in the following categories:

Camas School District received two awards in the following categories:

  • Excellence in Writing — Best in Category
  • Annual Report

Camas Educational Foundation received one award in the following category:

Evergreen Public Schools received eight awards in the following categories:

  • Social Media
  • Photography

Longview Public Schools received four awards in the following categories:

  • Electronic Newsletter — Best in Category
  • Excellence in Writing — Best in Category

South Bend School District received one award in the following category:

  • Marketing and Branding Material — Best in Category

Vancouver Public Schools received one award in the following category:

  • Finance Publication — Best in Category (over 10,000 students)
